The Texas Kayak Series
The Texas Kayak Series is the newest venture for Simrod Outdoors. After witnessing the eagerness of Kayakers to compete in a professional atmosphere in 2007, Simrod Outdoors has decided to expand the Texas Kayak Series to three events in 2008.
New for the 2008 season is the option for individuals to enter the "Team Bonus" side pot. For an extra $50.00 per team. Two anglers can join their two fish at the weigh-in. In order to fish together as a team, the two anglers must launch at the same site and fish in the same vicinity as their team mate. Also new for the 2008 season is the Angler of the Year award and Team of the Year award.
In 2008, the kayak events will receive more media coverage on the Texas Saltwater Series television show and in Texas Saltwater Fishing Magazine.
