Born and raised in Medford NJ, I grew up hunting and fishing in the Pines and fishing the waters down the Shore, from LBI to the Delaware Bay. Moved to Delaware after serving in the USN, and Maryland after my divorce. I jumped back into surf casting after just dabbling it for years, eventually putting away the hunting gear after a near miss while bowhunting in a Delaware. I traveled up to Maine back in 1998 for a long camping trip along the Penobscot Bay coast and fell in love with kayaking, started with a tamden 2 hour trip that led me to taking a full blown seakayaking course at Maine Sport. After picking up my first yak I began realizing what a terrific tool it would be while on the beach while surf fishing. First fish ever was a sweet little Fat Albert that were eluding our lures cast from a jetty. Once I launch the yak and got close to the school I had the fish on the first cast! From that point on, my world changed forever! ;)
