About Me
Hi. My name is Susan. I started kayaking at NOC in 1985. I worked at NOC for 3 years. Then started teaching rolling classes and continued white water for several more years. I became a federal officer and took senators down class III rivers and did search and rescue details for years as part of my employment. I took Rescue 3 International Swiftwater certification. I bought my first flat water kayak in 1996 and started racing in 1998. During the way, I picked up fly fishing and been doing it ever since. I raced and fish from a 20' CLC kayak.
New update: I organized and hosted Kentucky's first kayak fishing tournament Oct. 30, 2010. I am now working on the the second annual tournament with a kayak festival June 4, 2011. I'm 'thinking' of opening Cumberland Kayaks and Outfitters in Somerset.... Look for details. |
