Well, a week ago I purchased my first "real" kayak, a Jackson Big Tuna. My previous experience has been with my inflatible Sea Eagle kayak and prior to that my Old Town Camper canoe.
It will be another ten days or so before I take delivery of the Big Tuna, and it goes without saying I am looking forward with a great deal of aniticipation to getting out on the water on it !
Originally I had no intention of getting a large tandem kayak, but my wife convinced me to take the plunge by saying this was something we could enjoy together. I was sold.
I begin tomorrow to do some conversion work on a boat trailer that currently hauls my Coleman flat bottom boat. Hopefully I can end up with a finished trailer product that will haul both the Coleman and the Jackson Big Tuna without too much fuss.
Will report on the progress over the next couple of weeks.
