Hello fellow yakers,

I'm new to this site and new to yaking. I've been fishing all my life and a friend took me out last summer and I knew I had to have one. I bought a slightly used Ocean Prowler and outfitted it for fishing. I got out several times last summer but am having trouble finding others to go out with. I can go out by myself but would be limited to where I can fish. I like fishing on the New River in the Blacksburg, Va area. mainly for Smallies. I really need to find other people to shuttle with and don't know how to do this. I'm not very computer sabe but hope this will produce others. If there is a website out there to hook anglers up with fishing buddies I haven;t been able to find it. Getting very frustrated with it.

I have floated the New from Eggleston to Pembroke and had great fishing. I even caught a couple of Muskies by mistake. I got one in the boat and it was about 36" and another that was too big to land at about 48" but my focus has been smallmouth.

This website seems great and is just full of info which is very helpful to a newcommer to kayaking. I plan on checking back as often as I can to keep collecting info.
