When I received my FishClipper in the mail, the first thing that I noticed was its smart packaging. The package, (shown here) explains the whole story.
The folks at FishClipper.com have developed a cool little gadget to simplify life while fishing. I can see how it will minimize rod tangles, boo boo's, and maybe even keep your hat on your head a little longer while fishing from your kayak. I haven't had the oppurtunity to field test this item yet as my kayaks are burried under snow up here in the nor'east. I did however run the FishClpper through it's paces in the man cave.
When fishing from my kayak, I carry three fishing rods. (Light, medium and medium heavy) My light rod is almost always pre-rigged with some form of plug or swimmer. I like to offer these to ambushing stripers along the sod banks and I like to have the rod "cast ready". We all know what a plug with treble hooks is like on a kayak, or anywhere for that matter.
the above debacle by encasing the hooks within its grasp. The clip itself is made from a lightweight plastic and has been shaped to fit over your fishing rod. Little magnets help to catch your lure and secure the hooks safely inside it's grip. A simple squeeze and release for safety. When ready to use the fishing rod, simply squeeze. release, and clip the FishClipper to your PFD or anywhere.
