Kayak Fishing Mobile Apps
We recently asked KayakFishingMagazine.net readers what some of their favorite Kayak Fishing Mobile Apps were. Sure, we received the expected responses including weather, tide, mapping, and nautical chart apps. In particular, Navionics was a popular choice. However, two apps caught our attention: ReelSonar and The Float Plan App.
 ReelSonar, a fishfinder for Smartphones and Tablets, consists of a bobber and a complementary mobile application for smartphones and tablets. The bobber connects to a device via Bluetooth with a range of up to 150 feet – no cables required! More information about ReelSonar can be found in this press release. ReelSonar is expected to be available in the Spring of 2013.
The Float Plan App by Big Tuna Apps allows you to enter all details about a trip into your phone and automatically broadcasts that info to those that you want to file the plan with. Currently available on iPhone only, but a version of it is coming to Android soon. More information about The Float Plan App can be found in this press release.
