Great and Dependable Cart
I have the first generation of this cart that I use for my Heritage Redfish Angler 12'. Not much has changed other than the shape of the pads. This has been an outstanding cart, handling the toughest terrain and conditions that I have thrown at it. I store the wheels in the front hatch, and the frame under the bungees in the back of the cargo well. HINT: I use only bungees to attach the cart to the kayak most of the time; the bungees are quicker and work just as well most of the time. I also carry my kayak face up, so I attach the cart before lowering the kayak, dropping the cart on the ground so that the wheels hit first--no gravel scratches on my boat! I also keep spare lynch pins on the kayak and in the trunk of my car; they are inexpensive and available at any hardware store (they eventually lose their springiness and need to be replaced anyway). My only complaint is that the cart will work itself loose--I have had bolts fall off. Just check your cart after every use.
