Nightime is Bass Time in New Jersey |

I have been fishing the waters of New Jersey for the past 30 years and have been able to enjoy some of the best boat and surf fishing for bass and blues one could ever ask for. Then came my first kayak which was a ocean kayak which I picked up just to have some fun with the waves. It all started for me when a large school of bass were just out of casting range and I wanted to get in my boat and run out to fish, but I knew that would take way to long so I took the chance with my kayak. I have not put the boat in the water in three years and I dont fish from the surf anymore, I have found I can land bigger bass in my kayak and enjoy the art of fishing more. I do all my fishing late night when most are sound asleep and there are no boats to be found on the water. This night time fishing is so easy and can be done by anyone. Please be sure to always be thinking safety before going on any kayak trip, dont worry about the air temp but more so the water temp. Be sure to rig your kayak they way you want it to be. What works for me may not be the best for you and dont worry about tons of gear. Take what you know works and leave the rest at home |
