Solid and forgiving, excellent value
I have used this kayak for two seasons now, mostly on a 2,700-acre lake and on smaller bodies of water.
It is very intuitive, stable and inspires confidence. I fish on waters churned heavily by pleasure boats, and have absolutely no reservations about facing these huge wakes -- or whitecaps -- in this craft.
It is very wide and relatively short, so it does not track horribly well. And it is pretty slow. The rod holders are in kind of ill-considered positions for padding and trolling. And the storage space is pretty unusable when you are on the water. But for the money, as that first fishing kayak for even larger water, it is perhaps the best value out there.
