Review Detail
Native Watercraft 12.5 Propel
I'm 5' 10" and weigh 200 pounds. I've used this kayak for 3 years, and find it very easy to maneuver with a fish on the line without having to pick up my paddle. The sit on top design has made it easy to land a fish, reach items on the rear deck (e.g. fishing crate), and it is very stable. The stock seat is comfortable, and with the addition of gel-filled seat cushion, I'm frequently out for 6 hours or more without getting serious butt fatigue. The propel drive allows me to reverse direction by simply pedaling backwards. There are times I've wished for some of the storage convenience the fishing Hobies offer, but I find there is plenty of room to satisfactorily customize my ride. My transducer was easily mounted through a scupper, and I've had no issues with it. I'd rate it a 4.5 if the scaled allowed - the half point is for the lack of features like rod storage.
