Just Right
My partner and I bought Wilderness Systems Tarpon 100 Kayaks for our fishing trips and they are perfect for us! Not too big for a woman to handle, even loading (with a cart) on the truck by myself is possible. They are sleek, high quality kayaks with comfortable seats for all day fishing, very stable, room for plenty of gear and the SlideTrax make adding Scotty accessories a breeze--no need to drill holes in your kayak! We are having a blast with our new Tarpon 100 yaks!
First Kayak and I am hooked.
I bought this kayak used and in great condition. Stable for a big guy and easy to paddle down the lake. I have used it in the sound and bays and works great. Storage and ease of access are good. Modifying it daily for even better fishing experience.

very well made kayak .my wife and kids use it and they love it
Love This Kayak
This kayak is stable, tracks well, and has ample storage. I fish the Florida Flats once or twice a week. I did a lot of research before selecting the Tarpon and I would buy this one again!

Great little boat
I have a 2010 Tarpon 100 and I love it for fishing freshwater and salt/brackish creeks around Tidewater, VA. It's got great stowage, and it's small enough that everything stays within reach. Extreme stability. VERY comfortable seat for long trips. I'm getting used to the track system, and it's nice not to have to put holes in the boat.
That said, this boat is slow. But it's 10' long, so that's not Wildnerness System's fault. I need another boat for my longer, saltwater trips and then with the two, I'll be set.
Made for Kayak Fishing
I've had my Tarpon 100 for a couple of months now and I love it. Easily added a couple of flush mount rod holders and two Wilderness system rod holder mounts to the front. The mounts are a bit expensive but the mount tracking system makes it easy to reposition my Scotty rod holders for any situation. The only negative thing I can say about the boat is that it is not the fastest yak on the lake, but I knew that going in. Comfort and stability was what I was after and this boat has not let me down.
great little boat!!!,
I had a chance to compare this boat to 20 others boats during an event by a local kayak dealer and this little rig really stood out! The stability is great and the layout really works well. I liked the 10 footer because I fish smaller waters and it transports rather well. I've had it out a dozen times this summer and not had any issues with it. You may want a larger size if your on big water a lot but I can fish a 500 acer lake in about an hour or so. The seat is great as well I have fallen asleep in it while the fishing was slow. Overall very happy with my Kayak Im taking it to the Ozarks next week for an overnight trip cant wait!
