Making it the way I want it
I am a large paddler around 250 and demand a boat that will still perform well for someone my size. I find the boat very comfortable with its First Class Seat along with ample leg room and easily adjustable seat height. The boat isn't a rocket by no means but it is definitely not a snail either...but I'm fishing...not trying to make the finish line at a race. It handles wind and waves excellent with minimal hull noise even though it has a fairly blunt nose. Placing additional scupper plugs in the holes will eliminate most if not all of the hull noise. The blunt nose is made to ride up over waves and it does this staying dry. The hull has open compartments with optional storage bags that fit the compartments or a hard hatch. I like being able to choose how I can use these compartments. There are 6 fairly long gear tracks on the sides for mounting rod holders or other types or gear and a short track on the center console that allows for mounting electronics. Again I can choose where to put my gear without someone else deciding that for me. The hull is very stable and someone my size can stand and fish if wanted. The hull gets up to speed easily and tracks easily with little to no bow wagging. It has a short glide once paddling stops but does maintain a straight glide. Turning is excellent. A wide sweep stroke can turn the boat 90 degrees with no problems. 180s are just as easy for stopping and getting back to a fish. The build quality is excellent. The company's warranty is lifetime to original owners so that is also a huge plus.
